Requirements
Must:
- I require candidates to be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in Linux and Red Hat is essential.
- Familiarity with Ansible and good network skills, including Firewalls and Switches, is necessary.
- A sound knowledge of Windows Server is expected.
- I am looking for a team player who possesses a strong desire to learn and train others.
- A good degree in a technical discipline is preferred, or relevant skills through extensive experience.
- A willingness to travel to customer sites is required.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Systems Administrator or Engineer, specifically with Linux.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to participate in the design, tender, procurement, and delivery phases of new projects.
- You will be involved in the installation and configuration of infrastructure for new customers.
- It will be your duty to oversee the performance of the infrastructure across our managed services customer base.
- You will monitor server performance and proactively identify issues or abnormalities that may threaten customer service.
- Regularly reviewing performance logs, analyzing performance, identifying trends, and detecting irregular behavior is part of your role.
- You will manage, monitor, set up, update, enhance, and modify parameters as the infrastructure and systems are upgraded.
- Ensuring that servers are backed up and that security measures are in place will be your responsibility.
- You will communicate with customers to understand underlying issues and provide timely feedback.
Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a system administrator (Hybrid) to join a leading global engineering business that emphasizes continuous development and training. The role involves primarily project work along with daily support for our customers, reacting to and monitoring generated alerts throughout the lifecycle of our customers' sites. When you encounter issues you cannot resolve, you will escalate them within the team to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
