Requirements

Must:
We are looking for an Infrastructure Specialist with the following qualifications and skills: - Fluent in English, both spoken and written. - A team player who is eager to learn and willing to share knowledge with others. - Excellent communication skills. - Qualified to a good degree level in any technical discipline, or capable of demonstrating equivalent skills through extensive experience. - A willingness to travel to customer sites. - A valid driving license. In terms of technical skills, you should have experience in: - Configuration automation with Ansible. - Linux, preferably Redhat/Centos. - Good networking skills, including knowledge of Firewalls and Switches. - Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker. - Monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana, or Prometheus. - VMware. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field is required.

Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Specialist, your main responsibilities will include: - Participating in the design, tender, procurement, and delivery phases of new projects. - Installing and configuring infrastructure for new customers, as well as improving and enhancing existing deployments. - Overseeing the performance of infrastructure across our managed services customer base and internally. - Monitoring server performance and proactively identifying issues or abnormalities that could threaten customer services. - Reviewing performance logs to analyze performance, identifying trends, patterns, and detecting irregular behavior. - Managing monitoring solutions by setting up, updating, enhancing, and modifying parameters as infrastructure and systems are updated. - Ensuring that servers are properly backed up, security measures are in place, and that there is automatic failover in the event of server downtime. - Proactively applying vulnerability patches to managed sites and communicating with customers regarding any underlying issues, providing timely feedback. - Supporting colleagues through knowledge sharing and promoting knowledge sharing initiatives.
