Requirements

Must:
- Demonstrable experience of professional front-end development. - Expert-level knowledge of React, including hooks, context, performance optimisation, and modern patterns. - Proficient in TypeScript for scalable, type-safe codebases. - Solid experience with the Next.js framework and its ecosystem (SSR, SSG, ISR). - Deep knowledge of front-end engineering practices: state management, code splitting, bundle optimisation. - Strong testing and debugging skills with Playwright, Jest, Cypress, or similar. - Proven mentoring and cross-functional collaboration delivering user-centric software. - Strong understanding of design systems and component libraries, partnering with UX/UI. - Track record of technical leadership, guiding delivery across multi-environment projects. - Experience shaping solutions during discovery and advising on technical feasibility. - Experience with Git and modern branching strategies, including conflict resolution and peer PR reviews.

Responsibilities

- Lead and deliver features end-to-end, converting designs into production-grade code. - Set front-end architecture and coding standards, define patterns, assure quality, and drive component reuse. - Own the testing strategy across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels to keep coverage reliable and meaningful. - Optimise performance and accessibility to meet Core Web Vitals targets and WCAG 2.2 AA. - Operate the product in production by maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, monitoring health, handling incidents, and preventing regressions. - Collaborate with designers, product managers, QA, and back-end engineers to deliver small, reversible increments. - Set realistic commitments, surface risks early, and keep stakeholders aligned on scope and timelines. - Manage feature flags, canary releases, and rollback plans. - Seek and apply feedback, share domain knowledge, maintain documentation, and strengthen team learning.
