Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in analytics engineering or data engineering within digital, retail, or fast-paced commercial environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in modern data stack tools (e.g., docker, AWS Athena, BigQuery).
- Proven ability to design and maintain scalable, reliable data models and optimize pipelines for analytics and data science use cases.
- Skilled at translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions that drive measurable impact.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing and educating non-technical teams.
- Commercially minded, leveraging data to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Familiarity with data governance, architecture principles, and best practices; able to contribute to evolving frameworks.
- Comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with long-term strategy and roadmap development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, development, and implementation of the data architecture for the Decision Intelligence team.
- Ensure that data is readily available, quick, and usable for the data science and analytics teams.
- Define and execute the overall analytics engineering strategy and roadmap, aligning it to business objectives.
- Be hands-on in delivering the analytics engineering roadmap.
- Promote a data-driven culture by educating stakeholders, providing access to data, and encouraging its use.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices for data quality, security, and compliance.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data models to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to build and maintain data infrastructure, including data pipelines, storage solutions, and analytics platforms.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of data for all analytical purposes.
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection and processing, leveraging new technologies and techniques where appropriate.
