Requirements
Must:
- 5 years experience in PHP development (with strong exposure to large, complex codebases)
- Ability to design and build scalable, maintainable PHP applications both with and without frameworks
- Confident across the full stack, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, SQL, and AWS/cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and modern development workflows
- Understanding of software architecture principles and ability to contribute to system design and technical decision-making
- Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and comfortable mentoring junior developers
- Ability to take ownership of work, solve complex problems, and balance speed with code quality
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated with project leadership capabilities
- Passion for cars, motorbikes, or motorsport (bonus)
- Experience in web design, web development, or software documentation (bonus)
- Knowledge of the automotive or car sales industry (bonus)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of features across the MotorDesk platform
- Architect and deliver scalable, full-stack solutions spanning front-end and back-end technologies
- Build, refine, and maintain complex website modules, integrations, and core functionality
- Work extensively with PHP, SQL, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks to deliver high-quality applications
- Optimize performance, usability, and system reliability across the platform
- Mentor junior developers, contribute to code reviews, and champion development standards and best practices
