Requirements
Must:
We seek a software engineer who is proficient in C or C++ (one of these is essential), Ada, and/or JavaScript, along with shell scripting languages. You should have a solid background in software engineering and a proven ability to configure and maintain Linux Operating Systems (Redhat and/or Ubuntu), including Kernel configuration and testing. A passion for software engineering, coupled with critical thinking skills, is essential to understand and solve complex software problems. Clear communication of technical matters to non-technical stakeholders is necessary. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment, working with a team to address emerging issues. Additionally, all applicants must be capable of obtaining UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level due to the sensitive nature of the project.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will support our in-service missile-system middleware solutions, working as part of a small team to investigate and resolve issues as they occur. Your responsibilities will span multiple applications across land and maritime projects within our systems software department. Debugging and engineering investigation will be a key component of your job, as the software is complex, and we require someone with an inquisitive nature to investigate issues and discuss solutions with our customers.

We offer a competitive rate of up to £68 per hour on an umbrella basis for a duration of 6 months at our Bristol location.
