Requirements
Must:
- A degree with a 2.1 or a 1st in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a mathematically oriented Engineering or Science field.
- Suitable experience in software development projects, specifically in Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C#, Ada, and Assembler (note: JAVA and Matlab are not applicable for this role).
- Experience using Visual Studio for software development.
- Ability to work in various programming languages with a flexible approach to learning.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
- Familiarity with the software peer review process as part of software verification.
- Experience in writing and reviewing formal documents, including requirements and design documents.
- Adept at writing and executing test plans, schedules, and results as part of the formal verification of software products.
- Strong communication skills.
- The ability to obtain SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Focus on the development of Intel and ARM SCC (Source Code Comparison) toolsets, as well as Automation tools, contributing to the Hinkley Point C project work.
- Participate actively in software development processes, ensuring adherence to the SDLC phases.
- Collaborate with team members during the software peer review process to maintain high-quality software standards.
- Draft and review essential documentation, including requirements, design documents, and test plans, to ensure clarity and completeness.
- Execute formal software testing processes to verify and validate software deliverables.
Description
- We offer a hybrid working environment, with occasional travel required (approximately once per month). - The contract is set to start as soon as possible and will last for 12 months, with a daily rate of £415. - A notice period of 4 weeks is required.
