Requirements
Must:
- Significant experience in SOC operations and cyber incident response.
- Strong knowledge of adversary TTPs and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Hands-on skills in log analysis, anomaly detection, and incident remediation.
- Experience working in traditional IT and cloud (Azure and/or AWS) environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical threats into business terms.
- Possession of Security Check (SC) clearance; candidates with active SC clearance or recently lapsed clearance will be prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical expert within the SOC, handling escalations from Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts.
- Manage the most complex security incidents and lead deep-dive investigations.
- Improve detection and response processes and engage with stakeholders by producing clear, business-focused incident reports and updates.
- Lead incident response activities across various platforms, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, networks, and cloud.
- Advise on SOC tooling to ensure effective integration of incident response requirements.
- Support security exercises and crisis response, aligning with compliance standards and industry frameworks.
Description
We are one of the UK's largest producers of zero carbon energy and are seeking two Senior SOC Analysts to join our Security Operations Centre. This contract position, paying £615 per day inside IR35, is remote and is set to last until the end of March 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SOC professionals to step into a senior role within a high-profile environment. You will work with a modern SOC technology stack comprising tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, among others.
