Must:
I am looking for candidates with advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Defender, including experience in playbook creation and automated response design. Strong proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL) is essential, as candidates must be capable of writing effective threat-hunting queries. Experience with Microsoft 365 Sentinel, especially in incident triage, analysis, tuning, and training, is necessary. Additionally, while not essential, experience in malware analysis is desirable. Priority will be given to candidates who possess active SC clearance.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to develop and document playbooks for malicious alert analysis within Microsoft 365 Defender. You will design and implement automated threat response mechanisms, create and maintain a bank of threat-hunting KQL queries for team-wide use, and triage and analyze security incidents within Microsoft 365 Sentinel. Additionally, you will provide tuning recommendations to improve detection accuracy and deliver training and mentorship to fellow security analysts.
Description
This position offers a rate of £550-£600 per day and is classified as Inside IR35. It is primarily a remote role with an initial contract duration of 3 months.
