Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for candidates with significant experience working as a Level 2 SOC Analyst, where you have independently responded to events and alerts to successfully resolve issues.
- You should have knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks such as the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and ISO/IEC 27001/27002, as well as GDPR.
- Familiarity with SIEM and SOAR solutions, Identity and Access Management, and Data Loss Prevention tools and technologies is essential.
- Proficiency in one of the following areas is required: endpoint operating systems, core networking principles, infrastructure security devices, or anti-virus, anti-malware, ransomware, and data leak protection.

- I expect you to monitor and evaluate cyber security events and alerts using a variety of security tools.
- You will be responsible for responding to cyber security incidents, addressing both internal and external threats.
- I want you to review basic threat intelligence and indicators of compromise to search for known cyber threats.
- You should also recommend improvements to our security event detection and mitigation strategies.
Description
We are a large utility provider serving over 8 million customers across London and the South of England. Currently, we are undertaking a company-wide cyber transformation project to meet and overcome the ever-evolving cyber threats we face. In this role, you will be part of a growing team within our security function, focusing on Information Systems. You will carry out level 2 analysis of events and alerts to ensure our internal systems and customer data are protected. This position offers hybrid working arrangements, allowing you to work from home two days a week following your probation.
