We require candidates who possess a proven background in DevSecOps and automation, with experience using Azure DevOps, Git, Terraform, and Ansible. A strong knowledge of secure software development practices is essential. Additionally, we value strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, alongside a background in software development and strong problem-solving abilities. Please note that this role requires UK nationality and eligibility for DV clearance.
Responsibilities
As a Lead DevSecOps Engineer, I will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting DevSecOps pipelines and tooling. I will develop automation scripts using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. My role will include integrating and advising on security tools such as SCA, IAST, and DAST platforms, including Black Duck, Coverity, Snyk, and JFrog. I will implement and manage automated testing processes with tools like Selenium and Robot Framework, as well as oversee test management systems. Additionally, I will guide the secure management of secrets using tools like Azure DevOps and HashiCorp Vault, work across Windows and Linux environments within Agile sprint-based teams, lead technical decisions, mentor junior engineers, and liaise with customer stakeholders while aligning DevSecOps adoption with engineering and security processes.
Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead DevSecOps Engineer to play a key role in delivering secure, automated solutions for critical defence sector programmes. This is a fully on-site role in Basingstoke, supporting high-security defence projects, and requires candidates to be willing to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) clearance. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national defence initiatives using cutting-edge technology in a highly secure environment.
