Requirements
Must:
- I seek candidates with a background in data science or advanced analytics, and insurance or financial risk exposure is a plus.
- Strong Python and SQL skills are essential, alongside experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Experience in building interactive dashboards and reporting tools is required.
- Familiarity with data engineering, ETL processes, and data pipelines is important.
- Candidates should possess experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, utilizing libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary to explain complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, inquisitive mindset with strong problem-solving skills is expected.
- An interest in cyber risk and awareness of emerging trends in this space is desirable.
Responsibilities
- I will have you build and maintain dashboards and management information to monitor underwriting controls and support audits.
- You will automate and manage reporting for underwriting class and product leaders.
- Investigating underwriting performance queries and providing actionable insights will be part of your role.
- I expect you to design, develop, and validate predictive models to inform underwriting decisions.
- Collaboration with data engineering teams to design and maintain Azure Databricks pipelines will be necessary.
- You will support the automation of data-driven deliverables for proactive services.
- Identifying and resolving data issues, while recommending fixes and improvements, will be expected.
- Collaborating with underwriters, actuaries, and operations teams to embed insights into strategy and decision-making will be crucial.
- Presenting findings through clear dashboards, presentations, and reports tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences will be your responsibility.
- Staying ahead of emerging tools, techniques, and best practices in data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence is important.
