Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst or Data Analyst.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
- Technical knowledge in data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation is preferred.
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects), databases (SQL), and programming (XML, JavaScript, ETL frameworks).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
- Familiarity with facilities management systems (e.g., Maximo) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Jira is advantageous.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communicator, able to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Transform and manage critical asset data to meet evolving asset management requirements.
- Collaborate with technical SMEs and multiple stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and usability.
- Develop queries, reports, and visualizations to present data insights effectively.
- Support weekly reporting cycles and program governance activities.
- Manage multiple workstreams in parallel, prioritizing tasks according to program timelines.
- Ensure a high attention to detail and accuracy in all data handling and reporting.
Description
We are offering a 6-month contract opportunity for a skilled Business Data Analyst to support our asset data transformation initiatives. In this role, you will turn complex asset data into structured insights that inform maintenance and capital planning. You will work closely with technical SMEs and stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, actionable, and delivered on schedule. This position is located in South Manchester and requires you to be onsite 3 days per week.
