Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in software engineering and at least 2+ years in application security. You should possess a strong knowledge of OWASP, application vulnerabilities, and various security testing techniques. Experience in secure web application development and familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies is essential. Additionally, you should have experience with penetration testing, bug bounty, or collaborating with the hacker community. Strong communication skills are necessary, as you'll need to influence stakeholders up to senior management. We value self-starters who can prioritize tasks, work independently, and drive initiatives, along with a solid understanding of broader IT and information security practices.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will guide teams on security best practices, compliance, and secure coding. You’ll collaborate with architects and developers to review designs and code for vulnerabilities. You'll be responsible for embedding and improving threat modeling and secure development practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Additionally, I will design and integrate security testing plans, as well as perform and oversee application security testing while driving remediation. You will manage end-to-end vulnerability workflows, including bug bounty findings, and support incident response activities when necessary. Furthermore, you’ll monitor and report on application security metrics, KPIs, and emerging threats, and automate processes for vulnerability detection by integrating tools into the pipeline.
Description
This position is based in a hybrid model in Cambridge, UK, with one day a week in the office. Participation in an on-call rotation is included.
