Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience testing Oracle solutions and environments
- Proven background in manual testing and integration testing
- Hands-on experience with API testing (e.g., REST/SOAP services)
- Proficiency in using Jira for defect tracking and test management
- Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle and best practices
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments (desirable)
- Familiarity with test automation tools (beneficial but not essential)
- Previous experience in large-scale enterprise systems (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing of Oracle-based systems and solutions
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for manual and integration testing
- Conduct API testing to validate system integrations and data flows
- Identify, log, and track defects using Jira, ensuring clear documentation and follow-up
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage
- Support system integration testing across multiple platforms and services
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Test Engineer to join a client project on an initial 3-month contract. This is a fully remote role supporting a North Yorkshire–based client, focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of Oracle-based solutions through comprehensive testing practices. We offer a competitive rate of £425 per day (Outside IR35) and are committed to providing a collaborative and supportive team environment.
