Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer in a military or defense environment within the last 12 months
- Capability to obtain Security Clearance (SC level minimum)
- Strong understanding of multiple software lifecycle phases
- Specialized knowledge in the product domain of the team
- Ability to carry out complex technical analyses and investigations
- Proficiency in software specifications, designs, implementations, and test suites
- Knowledge of software measurements and metrics
- Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques (e.g., CMMi)
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills for junior team members
Responsibilities
- Support and mentor junior colleagues
- Manage effort budgets within delegated authority
- Prepare complex software specifications and designs
- Conduct software fault investigations and testing
- Manage software integration and configuration control
- Document and report software development processes
- Oversee software release management
- Perform code/document reviews
- Report on personal and work package progress
- Plan personal and work package activities
- Support other team members in their tasks
- Lead design/test reviews as needed
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during external reviews
