Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Senior Solution Architect in complex IT environments
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, and Power Platform
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, systems integration, APIs, and data platforms
- Knowledge of cyber security, identity and access management, and networking
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including at executive level
- Experience working in Agile environments
- A background within the energy or utilities sector is advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, governance, and assurance of solutions across Azure, M365, and Power Platform
- Define and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and reusable frameworks
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, aligning technology solutions with strategic objectives
- Drive standardisation and minimise unnecessary customisation across platforms
- Lead architectural decision-making and resolve complex design challenges
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and partners to deliver robust, scalable solutions
- Develop and communicate technology roadmaps enabling incremental value delivery
- Conduct architecture assessments and recommend improvements across the technology landscape
- Ensure compliance with architecture principles and cyber security standards
- Support wider IT initiatives including integration, data migration, and legacy system retirement
- Mentor and support junior architects and technical team members.
