Requirements
Must:
- Strong Linux administration experience across multiple distributions
- RHCE (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience with automation (Ansible) and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of clustered environments, parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre), and HPC tools (e.g., Bright)
- Understanding of networking (InfiniBand/Ethernet) and storage platforms (DDN, NetApp, IBM, Dell EMC)
- Experience with batch schedulers (PBS Pro, Slurm, SGE/UGE, Microsoft Scheduler)
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance Linux infrastructure across multiple contracts
- Share expertise, mentor colleagues, and implement best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Contribute to future system designs when needed
Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join our supportive and highly skilled team in Stevenage. You will work on-site five days a week and may require occasional travel across Greater London and the Southeast. As part of this role, you will help design, support, and improve secure Linux infrastructures, including HPC and clustered platforms, while collaborating closely with customers and internal teams. Additionally, you must be DV eligible for security clearance.
