Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience leading cyber security operations, SOCs or threat defence teams
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, security testing, and incident response
- Experience managing technical teams and working with outsourced security providers
- Ability to translate threat intelligence into actionable operational improvements
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, service management, and security frameworks
- SC Clearance is essential
Responsibilities
- Lead cyber security operations and engineering services, including SOC management, security tooling, and vulnerability management
- Drive continuous improvement, tuning and optimisation of security systems
- Support the delivery of projects with security assurance and alignment to best practice
- Collaborate with threat intelligence, incident response teams, and internal stakeholders
- Develop metrics, reporting, and dashboards to track operational effectiveness
Description
We are seeking an experienced Security Operations and Engineering Manager to lead cyber defence and operations for our globally critical organisation. This strategic position reports to the Head of Threat Defence and Cyber Security Operations. You will manage a high-performing team and drive continuous improvement while supporting a combination of in-house and external security services. This role offers the opportunity to shape security operations and engineering capabilities within a global organisation operating critical infrastructure.
