Requirements
Must:
- Solid Linux skills including Linux based development activities such as building and maintaining development environments
- Strong Linux administration skills and experience within formal service management and security frameworks
- Current DV Security Clearance or SC Security Clearance or eligibility
- Ability to support and deliver Linux based development activities, including containerizing applications and services
- Capability to lead conversations about environment development and growth using automation techniques
- Able to collaborate with infrastructure specialists to resolve incidents and maintain operational documentation
- Desirable: RHCSA, RHCE, LFCS, LPIC 1 or LPIC 2 certifications
Responsibilities
- Deliver Linux support for enterprise Linux platforms within a secure infrastructure
- Focus on system stability, performance, security, and troubleshooting across various Linux-based services
- Build and maintain development environments and support modern deployment approaches
- Lead discussions on environment development and growth utilizing automation techniques
- Collaborate with infrastructure specialists to resolve incidents and implement platform improvements
- Maintain robust operational documentation
Description
We are seeking a DV or SC Cleared Linux Engineer to support our central government client, focusing on high-tier systems within the Linux environment across BA and projects. This full-time role is based in Milton Keynes, offering a pay rate of £500-£535 per day inside IR35, with an initial 6-month contract and a scope for extension.
