Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience of V&V activities in an embedded software environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Good documentation skills.
- Ability to turn requirements into structured test cases and procedures.
- Experience of working in a lab environment on an electro-mechanical product running embedded software.
- Good working knowledge of the complete software engineering lifecycle.
- Scripting abilities.
- Embedded software development experience using Ada and/or C/C++.
- Knowledge of safety-critical systems (advantageous).
- Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C & DO-330 (advantageous).
- Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems (advantageous).
- Model Driven Design experience (advantageous).
- Knowledge of test automation methods (advantageous).
- Knowledge of DOORS, Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), Rapita Suite, Rhapsody, LDRA (advantageous).
- Breakpoint Analysis experience (advantageous).
- Experience of Focused Code Reviews (advantageous).
Responsibilities
- Conduct verification and validation activities on real-time systems application software for the next generation of Missile Systems.
- Develop robust test cases derived from requirements.
- Prepare and execute tests, capturing data accurately.
- Deliver actionable feedback to project teams based on test results.
- Utilize strong practical problem-solving skills and data acquisition expertise.
- Adapt to evolving project needs throughout the development lifecycle.
Description
We are seeking Embedded Software V&V Engineers to join our team based in either Stevenage or Bristol. Our team creates complex, highly reliable real-time software that powers missile systems and their components, ensuring they meet user performance and functionality requirements.
