Requirements
Must:
- Experience as an IT business analyst or similar role in upstream oil & gas industry or comparable heavy industry
- Proven ability to provide operational support for Supply Chain/Procurement and Maintenance functions within an SAP environment (or similar ERP)
- Experience in development, administration, configuration, and technical support of SAP, especially procurement and maintenance
- Solid experience in SAP modules, particularly SAP MM and PM configuration
- Expertise in Maximo (IBM Maximo Asset Management) and EAM software
- Strong skills in bridging technical details and business requirements
- Track record of driving process improvements in ERP/EAM
- Good understanding of data analytics related to SCM/EAM
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with IT change management formalities
- Adaptability and continuous learning mindset to keep pace with ERP/EAM technology changes
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
- Certification in ERP systems, specifically SAP, preferred
- Project Management certification or training beneficial
- Evidence of formal training in SAP relevant to this role helpful
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders in Supply Chain and Operations to identify their needs and pain points
- Gather detailed requirements for system improvements
- Analyse and map current business processes in inventory management, work order processing, procurement to pay, and maintenance scheduling
- Define and propose ERP-based solutions aligned with the companys digital transformation goals
- Partner with project managers and the IT team to plan and execute projects delivering enhancements to SCM and EAM functionalities
- Ensure the IT team meets business requirements and communicates proactively
- Design ERP solutions supporting business system development with the ERP Manager
- Plan, monitor, and control IT enhancements resulting from analysis activities
- Conduct comprehensive requirements gathering through workshops and interviews with end users
- Lead assigned project resources ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Liaise with IT Infrastructure and Support teams to ensure technical feasibility of proposed solutions
- Analyze existing SAP and Maximo environments and propose system enhancements
- Ensure timely resolution of ERP incidents and service requests related to SCM and EAM
- Implement minor enhancements following change control procedures
- Ensure SAP and related EAM systems remain up-to-date and reliable
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement larger projects and coordinate vendor support
- Adhere to ERP software development lifecycle and compliance procedures
- Coordinate cutover activities for major changes in SCM/EAM systems
- Manage support for ERP systems post-go-live and establish knowledge transfer to the support team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP and Maximo capabilities
- Support the expansion of ERP capabilities in SCM/EAM
- Develop ad-hoc reports using SAP tools or Maximo to meet emerging information needs
- Provide cross-functional support as needed
- Understand cybersecurity threats in IT and OT environments and incorporate this into daily responsibilities
