Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Network Architect with a solid background in designing and implementing network solutions. You should have experience in scalable, secure, and resilient network infrastructures, particularly in data center environments. Familiarity with L2/L3 topology, VLANs, routing protocols, firewalls, and load balancing is essential. You will need to ensure that your network designs comply with enterprise standards and security policies.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to lead the design and architecture of network solutions to support the migration and consolidation of services across multiple data centers. You will collaborate closely with our Head of Infrastructure to run architecture review board sessions. It will be your responsibility to work alongside cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, server, storage, security, and application teams, to deliver integrated solutions. Additionally, you will define and document the current and target state of the network architecture, plan and support network changes, and identify potential risks related to network performance, redundancy, and scalability during the consolidation process. You will also provide technical leadership for implementing and troubleshooting complex networking issues and ensure proper network monitoring, failover mechanisms, and security controls are validated.
Description
This is a 6-month project where you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our Server Farm, Data Centre Consolidation, and Telephone Infrastructure upgrade projects. Producing and maintaining detailed network architecture diagrams and documentation for operational handover will also be part of your tasks. Your contributions will be pivotal in transforming our existing data center infrastructure.
