- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Personnel) certifications, as we use Cisco network devices throughout The Royal Parks.
- Extensive experience in developing strong working relationships with a range of external partners to deliver the best value from investments.
Responsibilities
As our Head of IT, reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, I will expect you to:
- Lead our digital strategy, defining a program of work to support our digitalization efforts.
- Secure investment and cooperation for various initiatives and create a coherent roadmap for progress.
- Serve as the strategic subject expert in Information Technology, formulating our ICT strategy for effective utilization.
- Be deeply involved in day-to-day IT activities, including infrastructure administration, monitoring, and modernization, acting as a final point of escalation for internal IT issues when needed.
- Develop and deliver engaging information governance training for staff at all levels.
- Mentor, inspire, and educate colleagues about the role of digitalization in enhancing business performance.
- Have hands-on experience in implementing networking (LAN/WAN/Wireless), virtualization, and cloud technologies, along with current industry certifications in these areas.
- Maintain a solid background in cybersecurity, showcasing skills in security operations, data loss and fraud prevention, security architecture, and identity and access management.
Description
We are excited to support The Royal Parks in their search for a new Head of IT on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. The salary for this position ranges from £80,000 to £85,000, plus an 8.5% allowance in lieu of overtime/on-call requirements (non-pensionable). The Royal Parks (TRP), established as a charity in March 2017, manages over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland and historical landmarks across eight Royal Parks in London. We also oversee significant public spaces, including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens, welcoming tens of millions of visitors every year. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer 26 days of annual leave plus public holidays (increasing to 29 days after three years), a pension scheme with up to a 10% employer contribution, hybrid/agile working options, private medical insurance, and various employee support programs.
