Must:
### - Advanced SQL experience (over 5 years) - Experience in configuring and creating dashboards with Power BI. - Familiarity with multi-Terabyte, high throughput, highly available databases. - Storage fabric experience (Fibre and iSCSI). - Business Continuity failover experience for SQL Failover. - Ability to support project team members during the analysis and planning stages of project/programme delivery and/or software development with a focus on Change Management. - Experience in writing reports, instructions, and specifications. ###

Responsibilities

- I will configure and maintain database servers and processes, monitoring system health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. - I will apply data modelling techniques to ensure that our development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. - I will independently analyse, solve, and correct real-time issues, providing end-to-end problem resolution. - I will refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. - I will assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. - I will share my domain and technical expertise by providing technical mentorship and cross-training to peers and team members. - I will recommend solutions by defining database physical structures and functional capabilities, as well as database security, data backup, and recovery specifications. - I will install revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts, recommending optimal access techniques, and coordinating installation requirements. - I will maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases, completing maintenance requirements, and evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products. - I will prepare users by conducting training, providing information, and resolving problems. - I will maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organisational standards. ###

Description


We are an NHS Trust seeking a SQL DBA to build and manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems for an Always On SQL Farm. The role is based in London, requiring two days a week onsite, and offers a competitive salary of around £(Apply online only) per day (outside IR35).
