Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software development
- Proven leadership experience in technical teams
- Strong experience with ARM microcontrollers and FreeRTOS
- Proficient in Visual Studio and microprocessor development tools
- Familiarity with automated testing and RF communication systems
- Background in marine navigation or RF communication is a plus
- Expertise in bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware design
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to dynamic environments
Responsibilities
- Lead embedded firmware design and development
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to delivery standards
- Collaborate on product concept development
- Translate system requirements into software specifications
- Design and test software programs and protocols
- Integrate software with hardware systems
- Research and apply emerging technologies
- Manage technical risks and advise on design best practices
- Support design reviews and resolve technical challenges
- Oversee project management and delivery
- Support engineering operations and production troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
