Requirements
Must:
- Deep operational expertise managing complex Salesforce environments
- Previous leadership experience in application operations or platform engineering
- Proven experience managing suppliers and technical risks
- Experience leading a Salesforce Administration team
- Ability to hold (or currently hold) the following certifications within 6 months:
- Salesforce Certified App Builder
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator
- Active SC Clearance (mandatory)
- Experience overseeing offshore systems integrators or managed service providers (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Own the overall Salesforce administration strategy
- Lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of the platform
- Ensure platform performance, resilience, and operational excellence
- Oversee robust configuration, integration governance, and release processes
- Align Salesforce operations with digital, data, and security objectives
- Mentor and upskill Salesforce Administrators
- Lead the long-term operational roadmap for Salesforce
- Work with senior stakeholders in digital, data, security, architecture, and operations
- Provide authoritative guidance on Salesforce application operations
- Oversee systems integrator activity to maintain quality and delivery outcomes
- Ensure compliance with standards and contractual obligations
- Identify enhancement opportunities and process improvements
- Recommend new tools and methods to improve platform reliability and service outcomes
- Promote best practices across the team and ensure operational standards are met
- Support skills development and professional learning pathways
- Lead Salesforce application operations strategy and support long-term technology planning
Description
We are a Governing Body seeking an experienced Principal Salesforce Administrator for a 3-month contract with a possible extension. This full-time role, requiring active SC clearance, involves leading application operations within a complex Salesforce environment. We offer a collaborative environment located in London, Cardiff, or Glasgow, where you will oversee platform performance, governance, and continuous improvement while mentoring a talented team.
