Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect in Azure environments
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Fabric and modern data architectures
- Experience designing and implementing datalakes (e.g. medallion architectures)
- Practical experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance and lineage
- Track record of delivering successful data platform implementations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade data architectures using Azure Fabric
- Architect and optimise datalakes for analytics, reporting, and advanced workloads
- Lead data governance, cataloguing, and compliance initiatives using Microsoft Purview
- Own and oversee data platform implementations from concept through delivery
- Define standards, patterns, and best practices for Azure data solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to translate requirements into scalable designs
Description
We are a public sector organisation seeking to recruit an Azure Data Architect for a 6-month contract, fully remote. This role involves leading the design and delivery of modern, scalable data platforms in Microsoft Azure. You will work alongside stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to ensure that our data solutions align with our goals and best practices. We offer a competitive daily rate of £450, outside IR35.
