Must:
- Proven experience managing SQL Server databases in line with best practices
- Strong technical knowledge of SQL management and development
- Familiarity with Microsoft stack languages and frameworks
- Experience with WPF and MVVM technologies preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot database performance and security issues
- Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across IT and business teams
- Experience providing support for C# and VB.NET applications is a plus
- Understanding of reporting and BI tools and implementations
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure high performance and security
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot database performance and availability
- Extract, manipulate, and deliver data according to business needs
- Maintain and enhance SQL code, stored procedures, and database objects
- Provide support and bug fixes for C# and VB.NET applications as needed
- Deliver 3rd line support and participate in on-call support for systems
- Stay updated on business systems developments and best practices
- Produce reports and management information to support the business
- Proactively manage work related to data maintenance and development
- Build strong working relationships across IT and the wider business
