Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have:
- 5+ years of experience working in web/digital design.
- Proven creative design experience specifically for the web.
- An excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Acrobat.
- Knowledge and experience with WordPress, CSS, HTML5, and JavaScript, particularly in designing and building websites, landing pages, and HTML emails.
- The ability to quickly learn new coding skills for bespoke web design.
- Skills to optimize content for SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
- The ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- A passion for the latest web technologies to enhance creative concepts and create impactful designs.
An advantageous requirement is a Bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Website Management and Content:
- Planning, migrating, and optimizing content in 17 languages, including managing international workflows and approval processes.
- Coordinating with agencies and internal stakeholders to define and implement requirements.
- Conceptualizing and visualizing UI/UX changes in Figma to provide clear developer briefs.
2. E-commerce Website Development:
- Designing and implementing layout architectures that consider both front-end and back-end structures.
- Developing modular email templates and automated user flows based on segments, languages, and roles.
3. Cross-Functional Tasks:
- Serving as the central contact for web and content change requests, including conducting technical evaluations and coordinating efforts with IT and agencies.
- Building and maintaining a knowledge base while developing Q&A systems, including test plans, documentation, and process automation.
- Contributing to SEO and online marketing initiatives through technical and structural optimizations.
Description
The position is office-based in Poole, offering a salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience. The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 17:30, and Friday from 08:30 to 16:00, totaling 40 hours per week. You will receive 20 days of holiday pro-rata, plus the Christmas shutdown period and UK Bank Holidays. We provide free on-site car, motorbike, and bicycle parking, along with on-site shower and changing facilities, and complimentary tea and coffee for all staff.
