Requirements
Must:
- SQL Server 2016 - database administration, performance troubleshooting, backup/restore strategies, security management, and SQL Agent job configuration
- Strong experience and skills in both System Admin and Database Administration using SQL Server
- Solid T-SQL skills - writing and debugging stored procedures, scripts, and maintenance routines
- SQL Scripting
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Stakeholder experience - technical and non-technical
- (Nice to haves) Java / JBoss / J2EE
- (Nice to haves) IBM Cognos
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy software applications tailored to organisational needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse technical requirements.
- Ensure the maintenance and optimisation of existing software systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot application issues as needed.
- Document software development processes and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new application solutions.
- Implement security best practices within all software developments.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to the public sector.
Description
We are a client in the Public Sector seeking to expand our team with a SQL Developer. This role offers flexibility to work mostly remotely, with occasional travel to our head office in Manchester.
