IT Support Assistant

- I will ask you to purchase, build, configure, and maintain IT assets, ensuring that asset databases and directories are kept up to date. - You will help maintain stock of IT assets and map IT infrastructure, with support from Global IT, to ensure maximum uptime, including VOIP, LAN, WiFi, and ISP connections. - Providing user assistance and support to the IT Help Desk will be a key part of your role, offering support both onsite and remotely. - I expect you to approach the resolution of allocated user/service desk assigned issues professionally and efficiently, ensuring that customers are kept fully informed of progress. - You will assist users in navigating internal systems and software packages, which may involve providing training. - There may be a need for you to attend site/regional offices as required, acting with professionalism, punctuality, and courtesy. - I will need your help with IT asset purchases, offering choices and assisting users in the ordering process. - I will rely on you to assist in communicating Group IT correspondence effectively. - You will help maintain appropriate internal and external security systems, reporting any security breaches as directed by Group IT.
