Data Governance / Data Management Manager

In this role, I will lead and enhance our data governance frameworks within the not-for-profit sector. My key responsibilities include: - Developing and implementing data governance policies and practices. - Establishing policies, standards, and procedures for data quality, integrity, data management, and metadata management. I will set up roles and responsibilities, such as data owners, stewards, and custodians. - Overseeing metadata and Master Data Management, working closely with IT and business units to maintain accurate master and reference data and enable the discoverability of our data assets. - Coordinating data stewardship by guiding and supporting data stewards in implementing governance policies while monitoring adherence to data governance processes. - Evaluating and implementing data governance tools and platforms, integrating governance within our existing data architecture and platforms in collaboration with IS and Architects. - Ensuring data quality and compliance with regulatory standards, while collaborating with analytics teams to optimize data management processes. - Owning and developing the business rules and reference data strategy, particularly in partnership with the Data Insights and IS teams. - Leading initiatives to enhance our organization’s data maturity and capabilities, providing expertise on data management best practices. - Advocating for data-driven decision-making across departments and managing data-related risks to ensure secure storage and access protocols. - Supporting the development of training programs to improve data literacy within the organization.
