Requirements
Must:
To be successful in the Application Support Specialist position, you should ideally have at least 2 years of experience in technical, systems, or application support, preferably in a customer-facing role. Hands-on experience with SaaS or web-based applications in fast-paced environments is essential. Previous exposure to CRM platforms is required, and familiarity with support platforms like Salesforce would be a bonus. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach are a must.
Your technical skills should include:
- Comfort with PHP, including the ability to debug and interpret code and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and/or other programming languages for troubleshooting and support.
- Confidence working in Linux environments and using command lines.
- Understanding of the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and web application fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or Microsoft IIS is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
As an Application Support Specialist, I expect you to be passionate about solving problems and delivering an excellent customer experience. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Taking full ownership of support cases, from initial triage to resolution, working both independently and with senior specialists as needed.
- Troubleshooting product behavior, configuration issues, and overcoming integration challenges with a methodical, detail-oriented approach.
- Keeping customers informed with clear, proactive communication throughout the support process.
- Documenting your findings to aid future case resolution and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
- Identifying common trends and collaborating with the team to improve processes and reduce recurring issues.
- Ensuring all support interactions are timely, accurate, and align with service-level expectations.
