Requirements
Must:
- Solid background in Data Architecture
- Hands-on experience across data and software design
- Experience with cloud data platforms, with a preference for Microsoft Fabric
- Familiarity with modern data warehousing
- Strong data modeling skills across relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with governance, metadata, master data, and integration, including ETL, ELT, and API-based approaches
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be responsible for designing the data architecture that supports everything from reporting and analytics to operational systems. I will collaborate with engineering teams and senior stakeholders to define how data is modeled, integrated, stored, and governed across our organization. I encourage new ideas and tools, creating a space where innovation can thrive. Additionally, there will be opportunities to shape the direction of our data capabilities. The long-term vision for this position is to progress into a Head of role, taking on team leadership alongside the Head of Engineering.
Description
We are a long-standing client in the private investment space, and we are currently building out our data capability. This is a permanent position for a Principal Data Architect, with a highly competitive salary of £100,000-£110,000, along with a fantastic benefits package that includes 40 days of holiday, a 20% pension contribution, private healthcare, a share scheme, and other exciting perks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with technology while also wanting to influence and own key decisions. Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
