Requirements
Must:
- Extensive Informatica experience (IICS / PowerCenter / IDMC) across design, build, integration, and deployment
- Strong background in Data Governance, including:
- Enterprise metadata management
- Data lineage setup and optimisation
- Data quality rules, profiling, and stewardship workflows
- Policy framework implementation
- Governance operating model support
- Experience working with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Axon, or similar governance tooling highly desirable
- Ideally experience with Databricks for processing, pipelines, or delta architectures
- Solid Microsoft data stack background (Azure, SQL, Synapse, Purview a big plus)
- Proven ability to work with architecture, governance, and business teams to embed best practice across a regulated environment (insurance/FS preferred)
Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize Informatica solutions end-to-end from both on-prem and cloud systems
- Lead initiatives in data governance and integration programmes for our insurance clients
- Collaborate with architecture, governance, and business teams to ensure best practices are maintained
- Support enterprise metadata management and data quality processes
- Set up and optimize data lineage structures and policies
- Facilitate stewardship workflows and implement governance operating models
- Occasionally travel to London for project-related activities as needed
Description
We are initiating a major data governance and integration programme for a leading insurance client, seeking three strong Data Engineers with deep experience in Informatica solutions. This role will be hybrid remote with competitive compensation of £500-£525 per day. The initial contract period is 3-6 months, with a high likelihood of extension as this is a multi-phase programme.
