Requirements
Must:
- Strong Azure cloud engineering background
- Experience leading DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering functions
- Proven track record in infrastructure modernisation and automation
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- Experience supporting high-availability production systems
- Ability to manage and develop engineering teams
- Appreciation of modern QA automation and non-functional testing practices
- Understanding of how quality, automation, and reliability intersect within modern engineering environments
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 6 (3 DevOps, 3 QA) to take ownership of platform reliability
- Develop and execute the cloud infrastructure strategy
- Oversee automation maturity across the organisation
- Manage the large-scale migration from on-premise data centres to Azure
- Elevate Infrastructure-as-Code standards and governance
- Strengthen CI/CD pipelines and reduce manual deployment overhead
- Ensure platforms are scalable, resilient, and ready for mass usage
- Embed observability and proactive reliability practices
- Integrate QA effectively into the DevOps lifecycle
Description

As we enter a major modernisation phase, including the migration of data centres into Microsoft Azure, we are excited to offer a newly created Head of SRE role with a strong DevOps focus. This position provides a unique opportunity to lead and influence our cloud transformation program, define reliability and DevOps standards at a group level, and make a significant impact within our organisation.
