Requirements
Must:
- 2-6 years of commercial experience
- Production experience in Azure (essential)
- Strong problem-solving and delivery mindset
- Strong IaC capability, ideally Terraform
- Strong scripting or programming capability (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
- Infrastructure automation experience
- Kubernetes experience essential: upgrades, troubleshooting, workload patterns etc (essential)
- Ability to improve developer workflows via automation, templates, and documentation
- Clear communication and collaboration across platform, security, and software teams
Responsibilities
- Supporting a large-scale migration from on-premise data centres into Azure
- Delivering a blend of lift-and-shift for Windows-based virtual machines and containerisation into AKS
- Post-migration work focused on improving observability, resilience, disaster recovery, and platform scalability
- Working closely with developers to design and operate reliable, cloud-native solutions
Description
We are a high-quality, regulated financial services organization seeking to hire a Cloud Engineer to support a major migration and modernization program. This role offers a salary between £70,000-£85,000 plus a discretionary bonus and various benefits, including 28 days holiday, private medical and dental cover, life assurance, and a 9% employer pension. You will be required to work 2/3 days a week in Central London, and will be part of a dynamic team committed to enhancing our cloud platform.
