Requirements
Must:
- In-depth, hands-on experience supporting a broad range of AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch) in a secure, scalable enterprise setting
- Proven experience with monitoring and alerting systems, with the ability to interpret metrics and logs to drive decisions
- Familiarity with change control environments and practices
- A solid understanding of risk management in cloud-based systems
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident in engaging stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing challenges
- Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team, prioritising workloads to meet deadlines
- A passion for continuous learning, improvement, and championing positive change within the team
Responsibilities
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, particularly through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
- Design, implement, and operate scalable, resilient infrastructure with high availability and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in AWS, including networking and firewall configurations
- Integrate infrastructure processes into CI/CD pipelines and adopt DevSecOps principles to embed security and automation into the lifecycle
- Strengthen the security posture of our AWS environment by applying best practices and policies
- Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation to ensure effective handover to BAU teams
