Requirements
Must:
We are looking for individuals who meet the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- A postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent accreditation).
- HCPC or relevant professional registration (e.g., BMUS membership).
- Demonstrated experience in performing and interpreting ultrasound scans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A commitment to delivering a high standard of patient care.
Desirable attributes include:
- Experience working in private healthcare settings.
- Proficiency in abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and/or musculoskeletal ultrasound.
- Familiarity with advancements in ultrasound technology.
Responsibilities
In the role of Sonographer, my duties will include:
- Performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in line with clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Interpreting and reporting on ultrasound findings to support patient diagnoses.
- Ensuring a patient-focused approach while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and complying with GDPR and organisational protocols.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Staying updated on advancements in sonography and participating in continuous professional development.
- Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior staff or trainees as needed.
