Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Core server-side Java expertise, including knowledge of Data Structures and Concurrency
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Proficiency in multi-threaded Java, Spring, and JUnit
- Familiarity with Linux and relational databases (preferably Sybase and/or DB2), along with the ability to write SQL queries
- Understanding of message-based architectures
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Full SDLC experience and understanding
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- In-depth financial business knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities
As a core server-side Java developer on our team, you will support our equity swaps business within our global front office team. You will be involved in developing within a system that utilizes Java services which interact via messaging to produce real-time product outputs. You will be working in a fast-paced front office environment, addressing complex requirements for demanding stakeholders and providing solutions to architectural considerations.
Description
We are a leading tier 1 investment bank, looking for Java developers to join our Glasgow team on a 12-month contract. This position offers a competitive pay rate of up to £550 per day (PAYE). You will work from our Glasgow offices three days a week, with remote working opportunities available for the other two days.
