Requirements
Must:
- Strong leadership experience (5 engineers)
- Solid Data Engineering / DataOps background
- Python / PySpark for data pipelines
- AWS experience (design & deployment)
- Strong data modeling & warehousing knowledge
- Agile (Jira / Azure DevOps) experience
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of data engineers
- Deliver large-scale data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Design and optimize data architecture and workflows
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs
- Ensure data quality, governance, and best practices
Description
We are a global asset manager located in Manchester, offering a competitive salary of £100k with an extensive benefits package, bringing total compensation to around £150k. Our team operates in a dynamic environment, working onsite three days a week (Tues-Thurs). As a Data Engineering Manager, you will lead a skilled team of Data, DataOps, and MLOps Engineers, driving the delivery of scalable, cloud-based data solutions that support analytics, data science, and business decision-making across the UK and EU.
