Must:
We are looking for candidates with proven experience within Markets, ICG, or relevant functions such as risk, operations, product control, or middle office. A strong understanding of traded products and trade lifecycle control principles is essential. Candidates should have demonstrable experience defining business requirements and managing technology delivery. We value confident stakeholder management skills, accompanied by excellent written and verbal communication capabilities. An analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills with a control-focused approach are crucial. Advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with databases and large datasets are required. Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Python, Tableau, or Power BI is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
As a Business Data Analyst, I will look to you to analyze booking processes and trade data flows to assess control gaps and data suitability. You will be responsible for defining business requirements for reporting, metrics, and monitoring tools. Collaboration will be key, as you will work alongside trading desks, technology teams, and operations to support the delivery of new controls. Your role will involve providing quality assurance through testing and data-driven control assessments. Additionally, you will produce management information (MI) and reports that evidence control performance and effectiveness. You will support audit reviews, investigate control issues, and contribute to continuous control enhancements. Maintaining and updating procedural documentation related to ongoing monitoring and reporting activities will also be part of your responsibilities.
Description
This role is part of a high-profile Front Office Risk & Control function within our globally recognized financial institution. We operate within a dedicated in-business risk and control group that is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring trade booking controls across all global markets businesses. We work closely with Sales & Trading, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Audit. The start date for this position is ASAP, and the contract duration runs until 31/12/2025.
