Requirements
Must:
- Strong automation and observability experience with Python
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Git
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Ansible
- Experience with REST APIs and debugging complex issues
- Background in systems administration (UNIX/Windows)
- Knowledge of backup technologies (Veritas NetBackup is a bonus)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal teams to automate processes and improve alerting/observability solutions
- Enhance the reliability of the data protection environment through automation and improved observability
- Address complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions
- Collaborate with global teams and communicate effectively across varying technical specializations
Description
We are a global financial services company seeking an experienced Automation and Observability Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology Services team in Glasgow. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extensions, offering a competitive pay rate of up to £500 p/d PAYE.
