Requirements
Must:
- Senior level data science delivery
- Experience with large scale or time series data
- Proven end to end machine learning delivery in production
- Strong Python engineering skills
- Solid statistical foundations
- Demonstrated commercial impact from models delivered
- Desirable experience in telematics or sensor-based data
- Familiarity with insurance or pricing domain
- Experience leading small teams
- Evidence of idea generation and product thinking
Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery across telematics data science
- Design and deliver analytical solutions using telematics data
- Develop scoring and pricing algorithms
- Own end to end machine learning pipelines from data through production
- Work hands-on with Python and Databricks
- Build repeatable and product-agnostic training and serving frameworks
- Translate model outputs into clear guidance for pricing, operations, and finance
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring
- Challenge existing approaches within insurance pricing
- Take full ownership of delivery approach and outcomes
Description
We are a rapidly growing company located in London, offering a hybrid working model with 1 to 2 days onsite. This role is part of our expansion in the data science function, focused on telematics and pricing-driven products. We have already achieved over a 20 percent profitability uplift across our core insurance products. In this role, you will have full ownership of a high-growth data product, influence tooling and platforms, and shape the long-term data science strategy.
