Requirements
Must:
- 4+ years experience in data-centre infrastructure design, preferably in hyperscale or large-scale environments
- Strong background in electrical, mechanical, or data-centre operations engineering
- Demonstrated experience in pre-sales or solution engineering roles for hyperscale, cloud, or public-sector clients
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio
- Fluent in both German and English
- Confident leader with experience guiding cross-functional teams and coordinating external partners
- Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Deep understanding of critical power and cooling systems, scaling strategies, and redundancy architectures
- Customer-oriented, commercially aware, and highly proactive
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-sales technical engagements with hyperscalers, neo-cloud providers, and government customers
- Develop tailored data-centre design solutions, including conceptual layouts and fit-out strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, to produce designs aligned with customer requirements
- Represent the business as a trusted advisor, breaking down complex needs into actionable design outcomes
- Present technical solutions to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business, operational, and infrastructure objectives
- Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams throughout the full project lifecycle
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for the sales team on all data-centre infrastructure topics
- Prepare and manage technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, and customer design reviews
- Support post-sales activities and maintain strong continuity between pre-sales and delivery
- Provide valuable customer insight to internal design and operations teams, influencing future design standards and innovation
