We are looking for a Technical Data Lead with over 10 years of experience in data, particularly in senior architecture or technical leadership roles. You should possess proven experience as a Platform Technical Lead, Data Architect, or a similar position, leading large-scale enterprise data platforms. Strong technical expertise in Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Data Lakes, and Kafka is essential. You must have a deep understanding of modern data platform architectures, including Lakehouse, Kappa, and Lambda, along with experience in designing and managing secure, scalable, and governed data platforms.
Additionally, strong knowledge of Data Governance frameworks, access control, and compliance in enterprise environments is required, along with experience in end-to-end data integration patterns and enterprise-grade data modeling. Familiarity with Data Fabric and Data Mesh concepts, alongside practical experience in their implementation, is highly desirable.
You should demonstrate a solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles in the context of a data platform and possess expertise in observability, monitoring, and security for data platforms. We seek someone with a strong background in DevOps, automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). Exceptional communication and senior stakeholder management skills are crucial, as is the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will spearhead the architecture, implementation, and evolution of a modern data platform for a leading insurance firm in London. You will lead and manage both technical teams and client relationships while driving complex data platform initiatives. You will be expected to inspire excellence and innovation within your team, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve high-quality results. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring compliance with data governance frameworks and managing access control effectively.
