Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a Software Engineer with proficiency in .NET, C#, and HTML. You should be familiar with relational and SQL databases (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server) and schema design. Experience using Visual Studio is essential, along with a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. You should also be proficient in Windows 10 application development. Desirable qualifications include a strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns, and coding principles. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field, combined with advanced experience, is preferred. If you have experience in real-time or near-real-time data processing and visualization, as well as familiarity with IBM Engineering Workflow Management or regulatory frameworks like AS9100 or DO-178C, that would be a plus. You should also be familiar with Windows 11 application development and have experience using the TestComplete automated testing tool.

Responsibilities

As a Ground Applications Engineer in our Aircraft Services Department, you will drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and apply existing technology to designs. You will architect, implement, and maintain ground applications (services and tooling) with clean, modular, and testable code. Building user interfaces and operator tools that are reliable and performance-oriented will also be part of your role. You will integrate existing software, simulators, and test equipment with external systems using well-defined contracts and protocols, and implement and maintain data schemas, messaging, and event-driven integrations. Establishing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests while writing and developing test cases is crucial. Experience in developing and maintaining automated testing software is needed. You will participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and contribute to documentation and user manuals. Supporting deployments and configuration activities will also be a responsibility, as well as working cross-functionally with project managers, systems engineers, and end-users to refine requirements. Additionally, you'll drive root-cause analysis and retrospectives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost, all while contributing positively to team dynamics.

Description

We value strong problem-solving, systems thinking, and debugging skills, as well as clear and concise communication and documentation. Collaboration and respect for others are essential; thus, effective code review and mentoring will be part of your role. A continuous improvement mindset and data-driven decision-making will be encouraged. You’ll work in a team environment where good written and verbal communication skills are vital for team effectiveness. You will participate in technical reviews within our Aircraft Services team to share technical knowledge and solutions, positively impacting our end customers. A positive attitude, initiative, and a passion for engineering will help you thrive in our department. We also appreciate familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Rally, Azure DevOps, and Jira, along with experience in continuous integration, build, and test practices. Our goal as a team is to achieve and exceed customer expectations, and we hope you would like to be part of this journey!
