Requirements
Must:
- Good understanding and practical experience of systems engineering principles
- Solid knowledge of systems engineering governance and lifecycle guidance processes
- Familiarity with hardware and software engineering values is an added advantage
- Experience leading or supporting teams in a technical environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Actively task and monitor a Systems Engineering team in line with client processes
- Ensure delivery of contracted outputs to agreed schedules under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager
- Support the delivery of budgeted tasks, bids, and installations
- Enable first-line teams through effective coordination of systems, hardware, and product resources
- Prepare and review engineering estimates and schedules for alignment with project goals
- Provide support to proposal writing, costing, and bidding
- Forecast the required resources for each task and maintain the resource management toolset
- Assist in the identification and analysis of engineering risks
- Prepare engineering reports for Governance Meetings
- Deputize for the Project Engineering Manager as required
Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Packaging Lead to join our dynamic team at Broadoak. Offering competitive compensation up to £65,000, this role involves working closely with a Project Engineering Manager, Project Manager, and System Design Authority to manage a team of Technical Leads and Systems Engineers delivering a complex training system. The position is onsite for 2-3 days a week, enabling an engaging work environment where you will collaborate with various supporting teams including Software, Hardware, Safety, and Security.
