Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrable experience in expediting, order management, or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
- Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Self-starter with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
- Monitor order status, identify potential schedule risks, and take corrective action to maintain on-time delivery
- Work closely with Procurement, Planning, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve supplier issues affecting delivery performance
- Maintain accurate records of order status, delivery commitments, and supplier responses
- Support the management of claims, vendor recovery, and performance improvement initiatives
- Provide timely updates and reports on supplier delivery performance to internal stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, acting as the key point of contact for expediting activities
- Assist with supplier performance reviews and work with teams to develop and implement mitigation plans where delays occur
- Occasional order placement and RFQ activities
Description
We are seeking an Expeditor to join our Supply Chain/Procurement Support team in Rugby. This is a 6-month on-site role offering a competitive rate of up to £25 per hour, along with 26 days of holiday per annum plus bank holidays. In this key position, you will ensure that materials and components are delivered on time, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain performance standards.
